Caroline is an associate attorney at Hartsell & Williams, P.A. A Long Island, New York native, Caroline’s path to the law has taken her up and down the East Coast. After earning her undergraduate degree with honors in Greenville, South Carolina, Caroline spent several years working at a nonprofit women’s healthcare center in Greenville. It was there that she discovered her natural ability to advocate for others, particularly those navigating difficult and high-pressure situations, and realized she wanted to take that skill further.
That unique foundation led Caroline to Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, where she quickly established herself as a formidable advocate. While at Regent, Caroline earned the Dean's Academic Merit scholarship and distinguished herself in multiple national trial advocacy competitions, most notably placing first and being awarded outstanding defense at the Phi Alpha Delta National Mock Trial Competition in 2024. She also served as the Executive Competition Director for Regent's Trial Advocacy Program and published research for the Virginia Coalition Against Human Trafficking that went on to help vacate convictions for human trafficking victims across the state.
Following graduation, Caroline passed the North Carolina Bar and began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Cabarrus County. There she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony matters and tried hundreds of cases in district court. At Hartsell and Williams, Caroline brings the same commitment to her clients that she once brought to her healthcare patients: compassion, informed guidance, and confident representation.
When she's not at the office, Caroline enjoys running, travelling anywhere warm, playing piano, reading mystery novels, and hiking with her dog.
